Welcome to Queenborough Moorings
Location! Location! Location!
Queenborough is in an ideal location as it provides a safe haven and ready access to a variety of destinations at all states of the tide. It is a jumping off point for London, Ramsgate, the Essex harbours and the Continent. It is also the entree port to the River Medway and the Medway Towns.
In addition it is a delightful place to visit in its own right. The Swale and its many creeks are a delight yet remain under exploited except by the rich variety of bird-life which populate the area. Watch out for Dead Man's Island, where prisoners from the hulks were hastily buried and in nearby Stangate Creek, the original quarantine centre, you feel you might be a million miles from the pressures of the rat-race.
Yet despite its peaceful setting the moorings are within a couple of miles of dual carriageways which leads directly to the motorway network.
Olympic Special: a small number of moorings remain available during the timing of the Olympic Games. Please contact the Harbour Office for details. Nearby Queenborough Railway Station provides ready access to the fast train link.
The All Tide Landing at Queenbrough provides the only opportunity for miles around to step safely ashore or to pick up additional crew and supplies. Please be aware that during the day mooring on the All Tide Landing is strictly limited to twenty minutes so the facility may be used by all. Overnight mooring may be possible: please contact the Harbour Office for details.
A variety of swinging, fixed and creek moorings are available at competitive rates. Please click on the Harbour Plan for details. All our moorings are professionally maintained.
In addition all moorings benefit from the availability of:
Queenborough remains an unspoilt town with a much admired historical High Street where shops, pubs and restaurants may be found. More extensive facilities are available in Sheerness, a couple of miles away.
